How did I get here?
While transitioning to a paleo lifestyle I read and researched a lot of information regarding the choices I was making and during this I discovered that I have a passion for nutrition and healthy lifestyle information. Over the past few years friends and family noticed the changes I was making and started to ask what I was doing which then led to them asking for advice on various things, this pushed me to take on further education and become a Nutritional Therapy Consultant so I could help others on their journey to health and happiness. For me the food was my first focus, but I soon realized how important the lifestyle factors are as well. Each of us are individuals and we need to find those food and lifestyle choices that are right for us.

Like many people, I’ve struggled with my weight and body image my entire life. At a very young age I began chasing the “perfect” body and trying every new diet that promised results. For most of my life I’ve also struggled with many other problems like severe allergies, acne, horrible PMS and hormonal issues, digestive problems, daily headaches, and constant fatigue.
In late 2012 I found the paleo diet and the more I researched about it, the more I realized it was more than just a diet, it was a lifestyle. So in 2013 I went all in and did a complete purge of all of the processed food in my kitchen and I haven’t looked back. I didn’t feel like I was starving as I had in almost all previous diets and I immediately saw changes not only in my weight, but in other health issues. Over the years I really began connecting the dots between the previous poor quality foods I was eating and the health problems I had…this “diet” of real, whole, nourishing food was changing my life. I no longer suffer from allergies, headaches, hormonal or PMS issues, and I have so much more energy. Since 2013 I have lost over 50 pounds and have kept it off.
As my journey continues I am constantly learning new things to better my life and my health and I love sharing all these things with others and helping them to find their unique path.
